April 2023
Hattiesburg, MS – Sacred Heart Catholic School is proud to announce a fourth senior playing collegiate sports next year. Evie Sisk signed a letter of intent to play Women's Golf at Loyola University in New Orleans, LA on April 14, 2023.
“I love golf, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue playing at the next level,” said Sisk. “Playing at Sacred Heart exposed me to numerous experiences and allowed me to play the sport with other types of people. This taught me determination and patience which is important in golf.”
Loyola University is a member of the NAIA Division in the Southern States Athletic Conference. Sisk joins two additional Crusader Alumni playing golf in college. Mallory Gilbertson, Class of 2022, and her brother Trent Gilbertson, Class of 2018, currently play at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS.
“Sacred Heart is proud of our student athletes,” said Athletic Director Wayne Pittman. “We encourage student participation in athletics to help gain life skills as well as physical and mental wellness. Sacred Heart is currently classified as 2A of the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA), and we have four student athletes moving on after high school graduation.”
