Hattiesburg, MS | Sacred Heart Catholic School hosted a College Fair on Monday, October 24 at the Elementary Gymnasium. As a college-preparatory school, Sacred Heart supports students’ dreams for their future and begins college preparation in the seventh grade. Faculty and staff provide resources for test prep, college finances, advanced placement (AP) and collegiate course offerings. The Class of 2022 earned 5 million dollars in scholarships which was higher than previous classes: 4.4 million (2021) and 4.3 million (2020). Since the high school reopened in 2007, Sacred Heart graduates have earned scholarships and attended prestigious colleges and universities. The list includes, but is not limited to, Harvard, Sewanee, DUKE University, Berkeley University of California, University of North Carolina: Chapel Hill, Wellesley College, Vanderbilt University, and all local, state private & public schools.
During the College Fair on Monday, October 24, Sacred Heart seniors and juniors had an opportunity to discuss academic majors, scholarships and the overall campus environment. Participating college and universities were:
