Dr. Erin Lambert Dornan has been named Director of Advancement for Sacred Heart Catholic School. Dornan currently serves as the director for undergraduate scholarships for The University of Southern Mississippi. She has held multiple roles in recruitment, orientation and retention programs at the university. “Over the past 15 years, every career transition was due to a direct need of the university. My role was to research the problem, create and develop solutions or best practices, and implement strategies while adjusting along the way,” said Dornan. “My doctoral research highlighted the importance of secondary education and preparedness for the collegiate level. That is why I am interested in continuing my career at Sacred Heart.”
At Sacred Heart, Dornan will focus on the school’s admissions, communications and public relations efforts, while developing a diversified advancement program to increase annual revenue. “We are delighted to add Dr. Dornan to our leadership team. She is personally invested in the growth and development of Sacred Heart and brings a wealth of knowledge in recruitment and student retention,” said Elementary Principal Vicki Flanagan.
“Dr. Dornan is well-prepared to lead our advancement efforts. Her extensive experience in higher education will enable her to create and implement an innovative advancement strategy for Sacred Heart Catholic School,” said Keith Brackett, High School Principal.
Dornan is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi where she received her undergraduate degree in Speech Communication, her masters in College Student Personnel and her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration. She is a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, where she currently serves as chair of the administrative council.
