Junior High and High School Dress Code

Females

Blouses                  Solid white fitted blouses B’s Uniforms with SHHS initials on the collar.  Shirt is not made to be tucked in. Long or short-sleeved blouse. No tight fitting shirts – no gaping fronts. This blouse with a crosstie and kilt is the mandatory Mass uniform.

 

Polo                        Solid navy blue short-sleeve or long-sleeve fitted polo that can be worn on any school day other than Mass day and must be worn tucked in. The polo must have “Sacred Heart High School” in script embroidered on the left side. These are available at B’s Uniforms or Lands’ End.

 

Crosstie                  Must wear matching crosstie with white shirt on Mass days and when on a fieldtrip if the uniform is required. The crosstie may be removed after the event. Plaid cross-tie matches kilt. Available at B’s Uniform.

 

Kilt                          Plaid kilt from B’s Uniforms. Hems should be 4 inches from the floor when kneeling.

 

Pants                      Solid gray uniform pant may be worn when the weather is cold. The white uniform blouse or navy polo are to be worn with the pants. The pants are available at B’s Uniforms or Lands’ End.

 

Socks                      Navy knee socks or short white socks (must be seen above the shoe).

 

Undergarments:  must wear solid white bra and we suggest a white camisole over bra. No t-shirts under the school shirt.

 

Shoes                     Black and white saddle oxfords ONLY

 

Sweater/Vest        A navy blue V-neck sweater vest or a long-sleeve V-neck sweater may be worn. The school logo is required.

 

Jackets                   Solid navy blue fleece with full front zip with no hood. Must have the school logo on the front. These  are available at B’s Uniform and Lands’ End. Also, a Sacred Heart Catholic High School letter jacket is allowed at school which may be ordered through the school each fall after a student has lettered in a varsity sport twice. Individual team sweatshirts and warm-ups will not be allowed at school during a school day, but may be worn at team practices and games.

 

Males

Shirts                      Oxford button down white shirt with school logos. Short or long-sleeved black knit polo shirts with SHHS school logo. Shirts must always be tucked in. T-shirts under uniform shirts must be solid white and not show past the uniform sleeve. On special days, including days attending Mass, boys must wear long pants, white shirt and tie. Boys may change pants or shirt to shorts and knit shirt after special event.

 

Pants/Shorts         Gray uniform pants or shorts from B’s or Lands’ End.

 

Socks                      White, navy or black

 

Belt                         Solid black, brown or navy

 

Tie                           Plaid tie must be worn when wearing Oxford button down shirt. Tie is purchased from B’s. It may be removed after Mass or an event requiring “church uniform”.

 

Shoes                     Tennis shoes (not checkered shoes) or solid (one colored) leather shoes.

Hair/Facial Hair     Must be combed and clean for each school day. Hair cannot touch the back of the collar or hang in the eyes. No ponytails. Mr. McCrory or Mrs. Flanagan will be the judge of hair infractions. No extreme hair colors. No shaggy hair styles. No facial hair allowed. Boys must shave daily.
