Development Office

The mission of the Development Office is to establish and maintain long-term relationships with and among alumni, parents, and friends through reliable and consistent communications. Through a variety of activities, this office provides our constituents with opportunities to reconnect with each other and to give back to Sacred Heart. Gifts to Sacred Heart Catholic School are investments in the future of our students and our community as a whole.

Ways to Support Sacred Heart

Financial gifts to Sacred Heart Catholic School supplement the cost of education not covered by tuition. Like most independent schools, Sacred Heart's tuition and fees do not cover the total cost of educating its students, and additional support from all members of the Sacred Heart community is key to bridging this gap. These gifts enable enhancements to our existing programs, provide academic support, and fund tuition assistance. The caring support and enthusiastic involvement of our constituents enables Sacred Heart to flourish in the tradition of Catholic education and carry out its mission of academic excellence and service in a safe, nurturing environment. Thank you to our donors whose support enables us to change lives through education!

Sacred Heart is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Gifts may be made online, in person or by mail. Visit in person or send gifts by mail to:

Types of Gifts

Cash Gifts

Cash gifts are the simplest and easiest gifts you can make. They can be made through credit/debit card transactions, outright cash, or personal checks, cashier’s checks, or money orders made payable to Sacred Heart Catholic School.

Matching Gifts

Matching gifts are an easy way to double or even triple your donation to Sacred Heart. Obtain a matching-gift form from your employer and provide it to Sacred Heart with your contribution.

Gifts In-kind

Some donors take the opportunity to give to the school by providing tangible items such as computers, office or athletic equipment, books or other items related to our educational programs. The Development Office can help you determine the acceptability of gifts as well as potential tax benefits and implications of gifts-in-kind.

Planned Gifts

You can remember Sacred Heart Catholic School by leaving a gift in your will or estate plan. Making a planned gift may allow you to give more than you ever thought possible and, at the same time, you may experience tax advantages or income for a number of years or life.

Gifts of Securities

If you hold securities that would incur a tax on capital gains if sold, your outright gift to Sacred Heart could mean significant savings. You obtain a tax deduction for the full market value of the gift, and you may avoid a tax on the increase in value.

Legacy Campaign - Annual Giving

As Sacred Heart Catholic School looks toward its 118th year of educating students, it is imperative that we strive to achieve financial stability for the next 100 years. Through the dedication and financial support of generations of teachers, parents, parishioners, and others in the Pine Belt Community, we have remained the best choice for a quality Christian Catholic education in the area. We want to continue this standard of excellence.

In 2017, Sacred Heart introduced the Legacy Campaign. This annual campaign will provide financial support for specific programs and/or the school’s general operating budget. The Legacy Campaign will begin with the new fiscal year in July of each year. Elementary and high school students will benefit immediately from your participation. Gifts of $2,500 or more will be offered a naming opportunity. In 2018, Sacred Heart became one of three schools in the Diocese of Biloxi to be eligible to receive up to $500,000 in matching funds from an anonymous donor. These funds will be strictly used to retire debt. Sacred Heart has a five-year period to make the match, beginning August 1, 2018 and ending July 21, 2023. If the match occurs before the five years expires, all funds will be released. As a result of this opportunity, Sacred Heart is launching the "Crusader Challenge" as a part of our Legacy Campaign this year. This is a unique opportunity for us to retire a large amount of debt in a limited time period and enable us to focus on educating our students.
